A study on the pollution of total mercury and methylmercury in the Songhua River

A study on the pollution of total mercury and methylmercury in the Songhua River

Journal of Changchun College of Geology = Changchun Dizhi Xueyuan Xuebao 24(1): 102-109

The authors discussed the pollution characteristics of the total mercury and methyl-mercury of the Songhua River in a section from Jilin city to Sanchahekou. Facts have shown that the management of the industrial pollution sources of mercury and methyl-mercury has pulled down the pollution level in the water superficial deposits and fish year after year. By now, the pollution level of mercury and methyl-mercury have decreased to the lightly pollution level, and the level does not change much from different sections or from different years. The influence of the mercury sources on the water is getting smaller and smaller. The pollution of mercury and methyl-mercury in the water and fish are now mainly made by the precipitation mercury.
