The assessment of soil erosion by Caesium-137 (137Cs) modelling has achieved widespread applications in many regions of the world. Especially for countries in the humid tropics experiencing severe soil degradation, this approach offers the potential to quickly quantify the spatial distribution of soil loss, in order to propose site-specific erosion control measures.
