Abstract
"As far as known at present there are 30 genera, 63 species and 4 subspecies of fossil echinoids in the Japanese Tertiary formations, but only 9 genera, 21 species, and 3 subspecies among them seem to have some biostratigraphical value. The principal point of this paper is to state the biostratigraphical values of these fossil echinoids recognized in different sedimentary basins of Japan.".
