Calcium nitrate and ammonium sulfate effects on growth, manganese influx and its depletion in the rhizosphere of wheat grown on manganese-deficient soil

Calcium nitrate and ammonium sulfate effects on growth, manganese influx and its depletion in the rhizosphere of wheat grown on manganese-deficient soil

Environment And Ecology: 2, 563-567

To study the effects of calcium nitrate (CN) and ammonium sulfate (AS) on wheat growth, Mn influx and its depletion in the rhizosphere, a screen house experiment were conducted using Mn-deficient loamy sand soil (Typic ustochrept). Seeds of wheat cultivar WH 542 were sown in plastic pots containing 4 kg soil treated with 0 and 50 mg Mn/kg soil as MnSO4.H2O. Nitrogen was supplied at the rate of 120 mg N/kg soil through CN and AS.
