The dry matter average daily intake, average daily weight gain, feed:weight gain ratio and carcass characteristics of steers fed rations based on tropical grass silage (TG) or corn (C) silage were evaluated. Twenty-four Nellore steers, with an average weight of 369.05+or-15.06 kg, were distributed in a randomized design, in a 2x2 (silage x nutritional plane) factorial scheme, with six replications.
