Economic analysis of protein and energy supplementation of steers during the transition period between the rainy and dry seasons

The effects of protein and energy supplements at two levels of daily feed intake (0.17 and 0.37% of liveweight) on the performance of steer under <i>Brachiaria brizantha</i> were economically analysed using 14 steers per treatment. The animals were treated with mineral supplementation (control), protein and energy supplementation at an average daily intake of 0.17% of liveweight (SUP1) and protein and energy supplementation at an average daily intake of 0.37% of liveweight (SUP2).
