Effect of L-carnitine fed during gestation and lactation on reproductive and litter performance of TLRI Black Pig No 1 sows

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of L-carnitine fed during gestation and lactation on the reproductive and litter performance of sows. 57 multiparous TLRI Black Pig No. 1 (TBP) sows were used in this study (25 sows in the control group and 32 sows in the experimental group). Sows in both the control and experimental groups were provided daily with 1.8-2.0 kg gestation diet during 0-90 days of gestation.
