Three hundred and fifty Yisha chickens at the age of 15 days were randomly divided into seven groups (fifty per group) and six groups were subjected to the treatment of acute cold stress at 12+or-1 degrees C for 0.25, 1, 3, 6, 12 and 24 hours and three hundred Yisha chickens at the age of 15 days were divided into six groups (fifty per group) and three groups were subjected to the treatment of chronic cold stress at 12+or-1 degrees C for 5, 10 and 20 days.
