Effects of salt stress on fatty acid composition of thylakoid membrane of two rice cultivars differing in salt tolerance

Effects of salt stress on fatty acid composition of thylakoid membrane of two rice cultivars differing in salt tolerance

Agricultural Science & Technology: 4, 8-13

Objective: The aim of the study is to understand the changes of fatty acid composition of rice thylakoid membrane under salt stress. Method: Under salt stress of different concentrations of NaCl, rice seedlings of Pokkali and Peta with six leaves and one central leaf were used as experimental materials to extract the fatty acid from their thylakoid membranes, and gas chromatograph (1890) was used to analyze fatty acid composition.
