Tourism Geographies: 4, 474-494

In this paper specific attention is placed on analysing the impact the EU accession of May 2004 had on the development trajectory of Estonia's tourism industry. Overall, it can be seen that the Estonian industry benefited significantly from the 'accession effect', with the industry roughly expanding by one third in two years. Three categories of positive impacts are defined.
