Field experiments on mating disruption of pea moth Cydia nigricana with sex-pheromone

The efficacy of mating disruption with 200 g synthetic pheromone E8,E10-dodecandienylacetate/ha for the management of <i>C. nigricana</i> was evaluated in Germany during 2004-06. The effect of mating disruption was measured by the ratio of pea moth larva and damaged peas per pod. Pods were harvested at the BBCH stage. All fields with pheromones showed approximately 31% lower damage rates than the reference plots.
