Integrated protection of roses for cut flowers in the Netherlands

Phm Revue Horticole: 3, 31-35

Over about 10 years, integrated protection techniques during the cultivation of roses for the production of cut flowers has developed considerably in the Netherlands. This article looks at integrated control methods that have been developed against the spider mite (<i>Tetranychus urticae</i>), thrips and whiteflies (all involving a combination of various mite predators and chemical methods) and against scale insects (using parasitoids).
