Palaeoparasitology in a Pleistocene context Initial observations in the Grande Grotte at Arcy-sur-Cure

, : Palaeoparasitology in a Pleistocene context Initial observations in the Grande Grotte at Arcy-sur-Cure. Comptes Rendus de l'Academie des Sciences Serie III Sciences de la Vie 319(2): 147-151

Numerous eggs of Ascaris cf. lumbricoides have been discovered in palaeolithic sediments of the pictorial sanctuary of the Grande Grotte at Arcy-sur-Cure. The presence of this parasit specifically human during the upper Pleistocene open a new way of search about the knowledge of ancient populations.
