Abstract
A major problem associated with surface and ground water movement is deterioration and failure of engineering structures, if not designed and constructed properly according to specifications and standards to suit local conditions. Roads are examples of engineering structures which suffering from excessive water, if the drainage system has not been established sufficiently, leading to soil erosion and landslides along or across road alignment.
