Relationships between the performance traits of Holstein-Friesian primiparous cows and the genetic variants of selected milk proteins

The study was conducted to determine the genetic relationship between the genetic variants of selected milk proteins and the yield and composition of milk produced over the first 305 days lactation and full lactation, and the reproductive traits of cows (n=48) in their first reproduction cycle. Results revealed that the LGB AB genotype was more frequent than LGB BB, while CSN3 AA genotype was higher than CSN3 AB. The highest milk yield was observed in LGB AA and CSN3 AA homozygous cows.
