Salinity effect on phenology, yield components and its relationship with varietal tolerance to salinity in wheat

Salinity effect on the phenology, yield and its components was studied in wheat varieties established in the eastern part of the country, which had been obtained or selected in Cuba. Twelve varieties were established in ponds from the experimental area of "J. Dimitrov" Agricultural Research Institute using two experimental variants: a saline treatment with irrigation at an electric conductivity (EC) of 8 dS.m<sup>-1</sup> and a control treatment EC=0.02 dS.m<sup>-1</sup>.
