Screening and identification of superior fungus degraded cellulose

Superior cellulose decomposing strains were isolated to provide rational application of pesticide residues and other waste organic materials. The fungi were firstly screened for cellulose, and then cultured in residues of chinaberry as only carbohydrate source. The fungi were then identified by morphological and molecular technology. A total of 38 cellulose-producing strains were isolated from the distinct zones of clearing in cellulose-congo red agar medium.
