Abstract
The genomic DNA was isolated from 140 blood samples of Jamunapari flock maintained at Central Institute for Research on Goats, Makhdoom. Three fragments of growth hormone gene (gGH) having both the intronic and exonic regions were amplified by PCR. The PCR-SSCP protocol was standardized to detect genetic variants at gGH in this breed of goat.
