Slope stabilization in Portoviejo river, Ecuador

Slope stabilization in Portoviejo river, Ecuador

Mineria Y Geologia: 3, Art3

Portoviejo River runs through the city of same name in Manabi province, Ecuador. The changes occurring in the river banks and urbanization construction works above one of its margins have resulted in instability in the slope, tending to the occurrences of landslides which damage the construction works. For the resolution of the problem, an alternative of the injection method combined with pile driving was tested.
