Variability in quince population from Baramulla district of Kashmir valley

Twenty-five quince trees were evaluated for fruit yield and quality in Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir, India, from September to October 2005. Most of the genotypes had a spreading habit, whereas 8 genotypes were upright and 2 genotypes were drooping. The genotypes had ovate oblong leaves except SKAUQ-23, which had obovate leaves. SKAUQ-005 was the tallest (6.55 m), whereas SKAUQ-004 and SKAUQ-010 were the smallest (2.13 m).
