Yield and yield components of maize as affected by different sources and application rates of nitrogen fertilizer

A field experiment was carried out during the two successive seasons of 2005 and 2006 at Demo, Fayoum Governorate, Egypt to study the effect of different sources of nitrogen i.e., urea, ammonium sulphate and ammonia gas and levels (0, 100, 120, 140 kg N/Fed.) and their interaction on growth characters, mineral content and yield and its components of maize plant (<i>Zea mays</i> L.) c.v single hybrid 10.
