Abstract
The objective of this study was to assess the changes in serum minerals profile in desert ewes in relation to pregnancy, lactation and dietary supplementation. Twenty sexually mature Sudanese desert ewes was assigned to two equal groups, control and supplemented; the supplemented group received daily (500 g) of concentrate mixture (crushed sorghum+cotton seed cake). In both groups, oestrus was synchronized with hormonal method and the ewes were naturally inseminated.
