Inhibition of cell proliferation and migration by oxidative stress from ascorbate-driven juglone redox cycling in human prostate-derived T24 cells







The cytotoxicity of juglone is markedly increased by ascorbate. T24 cell death by oxidative stress is necrosis-like. Redox cycling by juglone/ascorbate inhibits cell proliferation. Cellular migration is impaired by juglone/ascorbate.
