Beetle Insecta Coleoptera infestation of industrial godowns of Calcutta

, : Beetle Insecta Coleoptera infestation of industrial godowns of Calcutta. Environment and Ecology (Kalyani) 8.4: 1195-1200

The present study analyses the problems of beetle infestation to commodities in storage of nine categories of industries. A total of 51 species under 40 genera were encountered from the unexplored habitat of Calcutta, India. The affected commodities, their storage and the associated beetles industrywise were shown. The distribution of the concerned warehouses, the seasonality in pest infestation and the nature of damage were related.
