Micropinocytosis in the oocyte of Arrhenothrips ramakrishnae Hood Insecta Thysanoptera

Alternaria solani is a leaf blight pathogen of solanaceous plants. This pathogen was isolated from the diseased leaves of potato (Solanum tuberosum ) and maintained on PDA slant. Pure culture of common phylloplane microfungi of potato, viz., Alternaria alternata, Aspergillus clavatus , A. niger, Aureobasidium pullulans, Cladosporium cladosporioides , Epicoccum purpurascens, Fusarium moniliforme, Penicillium citrinum and Phoma glomerata were maintained in pure culture and studied for their interaction in culture with A. solani . Maximum inhibition was caused by A. alternata followed by C. cladosporioides, P. citrinum, P. glomerata , and E. purpurascens .
