A new genus of velvet ants Hymenoptera, Mutillidae from south east Asia

ORIENTILLA gen. nov. with 2 spp., O. vietnamica sp. nov. and O. variegata (F. Smith) comb. nov. (from Stenomutilla variegata), is described. The new genus is related to the genus Stenomutilla Andre by the form of 1st abdominal segment and presence of felt lines on the sides of the 2nd sternite, but differs by more prominent eyes and the form of antennae, the presence of light spot on the 2nd abdominal tergite.
