Entomologische Zeitschrift. 16 Juni; 1143: 121-125

New records of the palaearctic dytiscid Hydroglyphus hamulatus (GYLLENHAL, 1813) on twelve new localities in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (northeastern Germany) are presented. For Brandenburg it is the first record of this species since 1922. Its main habitat is the upper littoral of larger oligotrophic to slightly eutrophic lakes with sandy bottom and sparse aquatic vegetation. Additionally all recent and historical records in Germany are listed and a distribution map is provided.
