, : Distribution of eggs and larvae of Sardinella aurita in relation to oceanographic conditions in the Sicily Channel Distribuzione di uova e larve di Sardinella aurita in relazione alle condizioni oceanografiche nel Canale dei Sicilia. Biologia Marina Mediterranea, 102: 990-993 (Parte Seconda)

This paper deals with distribution and abundance of Sardinella aurita eggs and larvae recorded during the ichthyoplanktonic surveys carried out in June-July 1998, 1999 and 2000. Results indicate the area of Cape Passero (the southernmost tip of Sicily), characterised by. favourable conditions for larval survival, as a possible nursery area for this species.
