First record of a beetle in the Nusplingen lithographic limestone Upper Jurassic, Swabian Alb, SW Germany Erstnachweis eines Kaefers im Nusplinger Plattenkalk Oberjura, Schwaebische Alb

A fossil beetle is recorded from the Upper Jurassic Nusplingen Lithographic Limestone (SW Germany) for the first time. This find underlines, together with other insects and many well-preserved land-plants, the existence of islands in the neighbourhood of the lithographic limestone deposit.
