First record of the spider Dolomedes plantarius Clerck, 1757 in Rhineland-Palatinate Erstnachweis der Listpinne Dolomedes plantarius Clerck, 1757 fuer Rheinland-Pfalz

The occurrence of the spider species Dolomedes plantarius (CLERCK, 1757) could be recorded for the first time in the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, in a field study performed in 2000 in a backwater of the river Rhine near Germersheim (southern Palatinate; MTB 6716/2). The habitat and the taxonomical features are described. In addition, brief information is given on the distribution, endangering and ecological situation of the species.
