Horsefly in mountainous regions of eastern Georgia
As many as 48 species and subspecies, 8 genera of horseflies are registered in the mountains regions of eastern Georgia. Concerning the main faunistic composition, the Meskhet-Javakhetian upland essentially differs from the folded system of the Greater and Lesser Caucasus.
