Stomoxys calcitrans (L.) usually known as "stable fly" were captured three times a week on poultry ranches of Araucaria, PR, during 12 months. It was observed that at the hottest months the number of captured flies was higher, mainly on February, March and April. The captures carried out on ranch I, with a medium value of 126 insects, were significantly higher than that obtained in ranch II and ranch III (59.83 and 40.25).
