In 1993, 4 pairs of cormorants bred successfully in the Reserve Volontaire Naturelle Volontaire des etangs du Romelaere in the Pas-de-Calais department of northern France, there were 58 in 1994. This study examines this nesting with regards to a general increase in the European population of Cormorants.
