In the Bavarian Alps recently numerous spider species new to Germany were found (MUSTER 1999, MUSTER & LEIPOLD 1999, JUNKER & RATSCHKER 1999). Six new records are reported here. For each species the general distribution is discussed with regard to glacial history and postglacial colonisation, and notes on habitat and distribution in altitude are given. Lepthyphantes rupium THALER, 1984 is a narrow endemic relict, which presumably survived glaciation on the nunatak system. Meioneta orites (THORELL, 1875), Troglohyphantes subalpinus THALER, 1967 and Cryphoeca lichenum lichenum L. KOCH, 1876 are endemic in the Alps, and reimmigrated from peripheral massifs de refuge. Xysticus macedonicus SILHAVY 1944 is a balkano-pontomediterranean species with the northern limit of its distribution area in the Bavarian Alps. Chalcoscirtus alpicola (L. KOCH, 1876) occurs discontinuously in the Holarctic mountains.
