Abstract
Following an evaluation of over 500 recently collected specimens, 84 species of Spider-wasps (Hym., Pompilidae) are listed for South Tyrol (Italy). 52 species that had been listed before by F.F. KOHL (1880, 1888) for this province, the synonyms used at that time are reported. 32 species are recorded for the first time for the local fauna; three species are recorded for the first time for Italy: Dipogon austriacus (WOLF), Anoplius tenuicornis (TOURNIER), Arachnospila rhaetabnormis (WOLF). The species Anoplius aeruginosus (TOURNIER), recorded in error by KOHL (1880), has to be deleted, since this coastal dune dweller is definitely not to be found in this region.
