An analysis of wading birds stopping over on the coast of Normandy was carried out in 2000 and 2001 during the weekends around the 1st May. It was accordingly possible to identify the stretches of shore frequented by these birds during their migration and, for the first time, estimate more precisely the numbers present on our coast at this period.
