Contraceptive use amongst urban and rural youths in South Africa--a comparative study

Contraceptive use amongst urban and rural youths in South Africa--a comparative study

Curationis 13(3-4): 44-48

150 recently pregnant urban and rural girls were interviewed and the results analysed. On the whole, no significant difference between the two groups was found. In fact, they can easily be taken as one homogeneous group. The psychological explanations to teenage pregnancy are explored, as are the cultural background and the current trends in teenage pregnancy.
