Hemangiomas in areas difficult to reach for treatment

Hemangiomas in areas difficult to reach for treatment

Kardiologiia 18(8): 134-136

Results are discussed from 220 cases with hemangiomas located in the frontotemporal-orbital area of the face, on the neck, in the subclavicular and subscapular areas, on the pectoral wall and in the perineal-gluteral area. Methods used in excising vascular tumors include decreasing hyperemia in the tumor zone, using controlled hypotension and cryogenics, compensating for blood loss with autoblood and using a perforated skin transplant for covering wound defects. Two cases studies were presented.
