Peculiarities of the rearrangement of the intratruncal blood vessels, nerve fibres and relationships between them are investigated on the median nerve of 34 adult male-dogs during its degeneration and regeneration after injury. It is established that in the full swing of degeneration and regeneration of nerve fibres (14-180 days) intratruncal blood capillaries increase in the number, that results in a decrease of the number of nerve fibres corresponding to every intratruncal capillary and being arranged in their vascularization regions. This promotes a faster removal of myelin decomposition products, activation of intraneural metabolism and quicker regeneration of the axons.
