AIDS Action leads charge to save Medicaid safety net



Aids Action Update 9(1): 5-5



More than 50 percent of adults and 90 percent of children living with HIV/AIDS rely on Medicaid to access essential health care services. The AIDS Action organization is working aggressively to preserve the medical safety net provided by Medicaid through direct interaction with Congress and the Clinton administration, coalition work with other affected constituency groups, grassroots outreach and education, and media advocacy.
