Testing--whether voluntary or mandatory--for HIV among workers is one of the biggest concerns at this time in the health care industry. While most health officials and governing bodies agree that the risk of transmission from worker to patient is negligible, many believe that voluntary testing is beneficial. The question is, beneficial to whom--the patient, the worker, or the employing agency or facility?
