The authors described a case of atypical pneumonia possibly psittacosis in a poultry worker. The patient's serum had a high antibody content against the psittacosis-lymphogranuloma group of viruses. Such antibodies were also present in the sera of other poultry workers and in fowls slaughtered in poultry stores. The authors discussed the possible significance of these findings.
