Nursing Older people 13(10): 32

Nurses who care for older people are often faced with the challenge of balancing the time spent on physical needs with the time necessary for meeting psychological and social needs. This balancing act can be frustrating as all these elements are necessary for total wellbeing. It was with this in mind that we observed an example of volunteering in the USA and became aware of its true potential.
