When lightning strikes: a case of early childhood outcome following maternal lightning strike

Acta Paediatrica 2018

Lightning is a natural phenomenon, striking within the United States more than 20 million times per year(1). The reports of impact a lightning strike has on pregnant women and the fetus is varied, with some reports revealing significant fetal mortality and others reporting no major fetal risk(1).
