Abstract
The role of the thymus in immunological surveillance in cancer was studied by comparing methycholanthrene induced tumor development in normal and in thymectomized, irradiated, bone marrow-reconstituted mice. There was no statistically significant difference in tumor incidence between normal and T [thymus-derived] cell deficient mice.
