Electron spin resonance spectra of the radicals (CH3)2ĊCO2CH3 (in benzene and ethyl acetate solution), CH3ĊO2CH3)C2H5 (in benzene solution) and CH3Ċ(CO2CH3)CH2CO2CH3 (in chloroform solution) are reported. Using a solution of anhydrous aluminium chloride in ethyl acetate as solvent, a spectrum is recorded which is attributed to a complexed radical which may possibly be formulated as (CH3)2ĊCO2CH3·Al Cl3·CH3CO2C2H5.
