Different types of microcrystalline and microfine celluloses are often used in direct tabletting mixtures. An evaluation has been undertaken of the connection between the pharmaceutical behaviour of a range of the cellulose products and the powder and tablet properties of the tabletting mixtures, using the multivariate statistical technique of canonical analysis.
