Research of the Potassium Status of Different Soil Types in Long-Term Experiments of Geographical Network of Field Trials with Fertilizers

The features of the potassium status of different soil types and varying granulometric composition and its dynamics under different anthropogenic load were shown. They are based on experimental information obtained in a long-term field experiments with fertilizers for a long time period. The estimation of soils potassium status was carried out using traditional methods, taking into account the capacity factor, and with the methods identifying the relationship between the factors of capacity and intensity. A database of the exchangeable potassium dynamics (1M NH4OAc extract) was constructed based on large volume of data obtained in the long-term experiments of the European part of Russia. Systematic study of the database information about dynamics of the exchangeable potassium content (К2Оexch) revealed a fact of К2Оexch stabilization at the minimum (К2Оmin) level under potassium depletion. It was shown that the К2Оmin level was associated with granulometric composition. The range of К2Оmin variation depending on the content of physical clay in the studied soils was defined.
