A mouse bacterial artificial chromosome library was screened with a probe based on the 3' untranslated region of region of the rat tryptophan-aspartate repeat containing gene 7 (Wdr7) or Trag gene. The mouse Wdr7/Trag gene was isolated and sequenced. Biotin-labelled probes were synthesized and used for fluorescence in situ hybridization. The gene mapped to chromosome 18 bands D.1-E.3.
