Abstract
The adaptation to drought of 12 varieties of sorghum was measured on nine hybrids and three lines of various origin. Polyethylene covers were used to simulate drought in between five experimental sites during 2 yr. Yield of grain of the varieties was used to evaluate their stability to the 10 sites. The hybrids had a wider adaptation than the lines used. Correlation studies between yield and physiological characters were low and non-significant.
